FAQs
Choosing a roofer isn’t always straightforward. We believe you should have a clear understanding of what’s needed, why it’s needed and what it’s going to cost before any work begins.
Here are some of the questions we’re most often asked.
-
Yes. We’ll assess the roof, talk you through what we’ve found and provide a clear quotation for the work. There’s no pressure to proceed.
-
Not necessarily. A problem with your roof doesn’t automatically mean it needs replacing.
We’ll assess the condition of the roof and explain what we think is the most appropriate solution. If a repair is the sensible option, we’ll tell you. If the roof is beyond repair or approaching the end of its useful life, we’ll explain why.
We’d rather recommend the right work than sell you work you don’t need.
-
Some problems are obvious - leaks, damaged tiles or visible deterioration. Others can be less easy to spot.
If you’re concerned about your roof, we can take a look and give you an honest assessment. It’s usually better to deal with a small problem before it becomes a much bigger one.

-
There isn’t a meaningful one-size-fits-all price. The cost depends on the type and size of the roof, its condition, access, materials and the work required.
We’ll assess the job properly before providing a quotation, so you have a clear understanding of what’s involved and what it will cost.
-
That depends on the type and scale of the work. Some repairs can be completed quickly, while a full roof replacement will naturally take longer.
We’ll give you an estimated timeframe before work begins and keep you informed throughout the job.
-
We’ll talk to you about it before carrying out any additional work.
Sometimes removing old roofing materials reveals an underlying issue that couldn’t reasonably have been identified beforehand. If that happens, we’ll explain what we’ve found, what we recommend and any additional cost involved.
There shouldn’t be any surprises.
-

-
Yes. If you have an active leak or your roof has been damaged by bad weather, get in touch as soon as possible.
We’ll assess the situation and advise you on the most appropriate next step. Where necessary, we can carry out temporary measures to protect the property while a permanent repair is arranged.
-
No.
Our job is to assess the problem and explain your options. Sometimes that means a simple repair. Sometimes a larger piece of work is the right answer.
We believe in giving you the information you need to make the decision - not pressuring you into work you don't need.
-
Because new doesn’t mean inexperienced.
